We're rolling out our new featured ad system to all categories! After a successful launch with our Roblox creators over the past couple of weeks, it's now available for everyone. This new system replaces the weekly auction system for featured resources, and it's significantly simpler. The short version: you only pay when you actually make a sale.
If nobody buys through your featured placement, you pay $0. There's no upfront cost. Set it once and it runs forever. Your position is weighted by your resource's quality × your rate, so strong-performing resources need a lower rate to compete.
Please note that featured resource ads do NOT affect your organic ranking. Enabling or disabling featured placement has zero impact on where your resource shows up in regular relevance results. Featured spots are separate, additional visibility on top of your normal listing. You should never feel pressured to use this to maintain your existing position.
If you were using the old auction system, your existing ad credit balance carries over and gets used first before any fees come from your sales.
You'll see a competitive rate next to the input to help you gauge where to start. Your visibility score in the creator dashboard will show you how often your resource is appearing in featured spots so you can fine-tune your rate over time.

How the new system works
If you decide to feature your resource then it will start appearing in featured spots across category pages, search results, and filter combinations. When someone buys your resource after clicking on your featured placement, we take the % rate you set as an advertising fee from that sale alongside the normal platform fee.If nobody buys through your featured placement, you pay $0. - Go to any of your paid resources
- Open the Payment tab
- Select Feature your resource and set your rate
