I'd be a lot more worried about the flooding than the snow. The flooding means the water-management system can't handle stuff, meaning that even sewers flood. A blizzard is a bloody nuisance if you're not prepared, but the snow it leaves can be dealt with more easily.

With 2 and a half feet in a country (or state) that's not used to it, You won't have school (wait, school on sundays? I pity you, sir). Its just about whether or not it hits you.

I mean, I live in NL and here most schools close at 1 foot, unless we've been having that for a while.
Though ice is a bigger problem than snow here, as you may know the north of the country had a moment where it was possible to ice-skate on the streets

As of now in my town its 3 feet in total... No one has even bothered shoveling.
