So christmas is coming up, and i have been thinking about it a lot, i typically get 800 euros per christmas, so here it is.
My laptop is the acer aspire vx15, it has a gtx 1050, 8gb ram, and a 1tb hard drive
it runs games well and i have had it for 2 years now.
however it is starting to get extremely slow, like 2 minutres 35 seconds to open word for god sake.
It can still game very well and can edit well too.
So i was thinking, should i upgrade this laptop with a small 120gb m2 ssd and another 8gb of ram, plus buy a projecter, a new keyboard and mouse, good headphones, and a bunch of cheap shit from aliexpress, which would total to around 500 euros, meaning i save 300 euros for the summer
OR:
buy the xiaomi notebook air, the laptop is very fast, 8gb ram, mx150, 256gb good ssd.
it is also 13,3 inches meaning i could take it to school, it has good build quality, and generally is just good. I could also get the notebook pro, and have better battry life but that would be more expensive, and 15.6 inches,
the xiaomi noteeboke air is atm 651 euros, however prices will probably go up, right now i woudl save 150 uros for summer, but keep in mind this laptop would become my school and work laptop, and my gaming laptop would pretty much only be for gaming and editing.
I have to save for summer because otherwhys i end up wanting things and not be able to afford them, but keep in mind i need a new pair of good headphones, right now i have the crappy 15 dollars pair you find on amazon with the leds.
So in conclusion, either i get one big present, that would help my productivity consideering i could use the laptop anywhere (my acer aspire vx15 is hooked up to another monitor and i have a whole setup for it in my room, so i find it hella annoying taking my laptop to school, also the fact that it is 5kg and is like a brick in my bag doesnt help)
or buy a bunch of accessories to help my setup and save a bunch for summer
