I think that new members should not be able to private their profile because if they we're to apply for staff on a thread or buy/sell something I would like to look through their profile and find previous things from the before I hire, maybe they can private it when they have 100+ messages.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Or maybe you dont want whiners posting all over your profile. I could imagine that being the case too. Which is why I'm saying that you should just tell them to temporarily unprivatize it so you can view it. If what i said above is the case, it'll be little to no problem for them.

No, but we're talking about new members. Not trying to say all but most scammers are new members. Pretty sure by doing this it can help decrease scams if people did some background checks.

Pretty sure people that look at someone's profile to check their rep, find it privatized then go ahead anyway are idiots.

Personally, I don't feel anyone should be able to private their profile; except maybe a disabled account.
I've talked about this before, a separate user group for those wishing to "leave" MC-Market.
We're a marketplace, were trust is in information, and accurate information is everything.

I can understand blocking people from posting on your profile, but past posts, your history and other account details are something I feel should always be available to everyone.
We are held responsible for our past actions. That's how the world works; and justly so.

I do not want to remove the limitation option from new members. That's just making a mess of the situation further.
Simply don't deal with them if they won't let you see your profile, as Ivain said.
However, if you were to suggest that the limitation option be removed from everyone but a 'disabled' users, then I would agree.

Privating your profile means you don't want to be stalked.
We are a marketplace community, privating your profile may scare away potential clients or people you're trying to buy from, I don't see any reason to private your profile to be honest.

But Dominic doesn't want to be stalked, you can always un-private it

Also, staff members can always view it ;)
