not an apple person, no thanks. I have a budget of roughly like 600-800 USD

I planned on getting the best google pixel I could (wanted to try a google pixel) - but some people said they're bad, so wanted some more options. Probably gonna stick with getting a pixel though, that or one of the newer samsung phones

Pixel 4 is being released relatively soon, might be worth waiting a little while for the release of that, and it should be within your budget I think.

I'm trading in my current phone (S8 Active) for a new one, and according to my parents the cut off for trading it in comes in a few days, so I don't think I'll be able to :/

I personally wouldn't go with a Chinese made phone, cause I rather not have everything spied on tbh
Anyway, I've had a S10, and it's nice and all, but I use a LG G6 as my daily driver.

iPhones are okay, pretty much useless if you don't take selfies, which is the only up on them. Drop them 10 feet, and they be 100% fine, drop them 3 feet on a couch well goodbye rip phone

Nothing can beat this, unless it's Pixel 4 yeah, so you might wanna wait. Pixel 4 and S11 will undoubtedly be the most revolutionary and all-rounder phone ever.

I enjoy the Note 9 phone a lot. I would recommend it to you one thing, YOU NEED TO GET A CASE AND SCREEN PROTECTER. First day of having this I dropped it and cracked the fucking screen.

Screen protectors are the best fraud ever created in human history. They don't protect against drops, they protect against scratches, and today's screens can do that completely fine themselves. What you DO need is a case that has slight bumps on the edges of the phone that cover the screen - that way, if your phone falls, it hits the case and not your screen.

BOOP To your question, I currently have the s8 and I'm planning on upgrading to iPhone. Since you said you're not an Apple guy, the only company that supports Android that I fully trust is Samsung. Go with the s10.
