New Rule: No speaking of Political Matters/Social issues in shoutbox

We just got out of a shitstorm in the shoutbox regarding the recent terror attack at a bar against 50 homosexual men. I think that there should be a new rule, that you cannot discuss things like that, we saw many differing opinions, and it's turned into a shitstorm. I think we should stay away from touchy subjects and politics.

This should be still allowed. However, some users need to know fucking what an opinion is and how to respect it. It's not okay when saying an opinion then someone gets the hate. Meanwhile, someone says i should die, however, the user won't get any hate/devouches... The user is entitled to say his opinion but not me. Pathetic

While I do agree shit went down too hard, I believe that if it's not allowed in SB, every separate person will start a thread about it in general discussion.
It would have been ideal if there was at least 1 staff member present in SB who would warn people that went too far.

It's a discussion board. You're supposed to be able to discuss stuff. The problem here is the way you guys discuss it. I don't think the rule should be implemented for that reason.

But then it gets out of hand and there are no staff online. Once Doge came online it slowly died down. At least make it like you can discuss it until a fight happens ect.
