~New Scam Method Watch Out~

Warning!

I urge you all MCM Members to watch out!
Today I was added by Zyger , well I thought he was Zyger. Thing is Discord released a new update stating that people who purchase NITRO can change their discord #'s.



This creates a whole new realm for scammers. The user had Zyger 's exact Discord # and so I naturally thought it was him.




It was instantly suspicious when I saw he bought NITRO Today and that he really didn't want to avoid using a MM. The final thing that got me was the fact he didn't go on MCM at the time of the texting.
I asked him to confirm he was Zyger and asked him to pm. Obviously he blocked me.

Just warning you all to not trust discord ID #'s they are NO LONGER SAFE.

Make sure you always get verification on'site before dealing with anyone who randomly adds you.

(remember, being randomly added by someone who claims to be a highly repped user it's 100% a scammer)

The thing with discord ids are that now if someone has same name and id you need to check the capitalization of a name. For example he can't take Zyger but he can take zyger or ZyGer. Always confirm on mcm first regardless.

I mean it's not really discord fault that they are messing with MC-Market but I definitely feel as if they needed to put more thought behind it - It's definitely very very very important to confirm onsite now, as I said before.

its cool the idea but its already causing MAJOR problems.. so in my opinion don't change yours. keep it the same. also guys remember there are always a few ways to see if your dealing with the correct person:
- ask them to post their discord id to you on mcm or twitter or a trustworthy site
- check the accounts linked to their profile
