Hey,

I recently hired someone from MC-Market to be my manager for my Web Design Service. (Nico)

I thought it would be a good idea if I could give permission for him to change and edit things on the Thread. But I didn't want to give him my account.

So I thought it would be a good idea to make a suggestion. The suggestion is for a Supreme Feature/Perk where they can add members MC-Market name to a Edit Permission or Editors list on the thread which allows them to edit the thread. The editors can be any rank but only Supreme can have the ability to allow members to be editors.

I also think that the editors should have to wait for the Thread Owner's approval of the edits. So when they edit the thread, it sends a notification to the Thread Owner and they can either approve of deny them edits. This can prevent the editors from 'griefing' or destroying the thread.

The reason I think it should be only available to Supreme is because I personally don't think Supreme have enough Perks/Features for $25.

Hope you all like the suggestion!

Thanks!

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Seems like a cool idea, would love to see something like this. Question: would both users have to have supreme to be able to use the feature?
Only the thread owner needs to be the thread. ;)

That would slightly defeat the purpose of a business account. (Not that I'm against that)

Why not create a business account for the two of you, and ask for thread ownership to be transferred to that business account?

I have a business account but I still think this would be a good idea.

I'm not for this nor against this, but would the edits be held for approval?
What do you mean, if someone edits it, the Thread Owner would have to approve the edits? If this is what you mean, I agree and I will add this to the suggestion since it can prevent editors from destroying the thread.

Like Justis said, a business account is suited excellent for this kind of situation. Take Podcrash as an example. We are a company that has multiple businesses: Graphics, Building, Modelling, and Development. However, we have 1 MCM account that's used by multiple Podcrash staff members. You could always PM Mick to have your thread transferred to a different account's ownership (a business one in this case), he did that for Podcrash when we acquired a GFX/Modelling company.
But what is someone doesn't want to spend another $35 on ranks and Name Colors?

I'm not sure about other people, but one simple logo made and sold by us can buy all of that for a new account. I assume web development should also give you a lot of revenue, these ranks aren't exactly considered highly pricey. They aren't required either, if money is really an issue you can get it over time. But, like I said, ranks aren't needed to sell your services. If you offer high quality work, good communication and business skills, your service will sell itself.

When did I say money was an issue for me? I said OTHER people.
Maybe it's not expensive but it doesn't have enough perks than it should.

Anyway, 1 disagree against 9. No problem.
