Since the old tagline "#1 Minecraft Trades & Sales Forum" was removed for legal reasons, could a new one be in added? I think it may help with new users finding the site and it looks a little empty without one right now. Besides, it would help stand out from other sites. In an upcoming update maybe the top tagline could be put to a poll?

The problem is that Mick doesn’t really know what the hell Mc-Market will become in the future. It’s expected that more sections throughout the site will be removed due to their unethical nature so the focus could potentially not even be Minecraft anymore.

What would you suggest it be changed to? Obviously "#1 Trades and Sales Forum" is off the table, since that’s a blatant lie, and it would continue to be so even if we added "gaming" in there. We’re simply not #1 at anything other than being a marketplace for Minecraft related sales.

The subject Sloth touched on is also correct. Rebranding has been a longstanding discussion within the community, and if it’s something in our cards, then introducing a new tag-line before it’s even had a chance to be properly considered isn’t the greatest of plans.

Moreover, I think it looks a rather clean this way.
Apple doesn’t need to describe what they are when you go to their site because everyone who finds their way onto Apple’s website knows who they are. It’s that sort of feeling. "We need no description".

on the contrary it feels kind of empty to me as this marketplace isn’t really defined as of recent. everybody knows apple for tech and their products but it doesn’t feel the same way for mcm

Is the problem then not the lack of a tag-line, but a lack of a focus at the moment?

I agree, this forum has kinda become "the forum for random stuff"

I think they go hand in hand, no tagline won't work if there isn't a clear focus

"Sell things, scam out, get banned, repeat" should be the new tagline

And the issue is more of a lack of any real direction on the site at the moment, which will only harm it in the long run, I believe.

I fully agree with this statement, and generally with most of what you said. I think that a rebranding process is indeed in order, from the theme, to the logo, the concept, and whatever else, everything. This site is changing, and I like where it's headed.

i mean... mc-market was made merely for minecraft I believe. But its drifting away from it since those changes. I highly doubt they'd find a new tagline to fit due to the new rules.

Removing the tagline from our logo was certainly a big change to the way that the site looks, and I agree with Justis' with saying that the site as a whole looks a lot more modern now.

We're bigger than we've ever been and we're already very established within our community as what we are. Initially I was planning on switching our tagline to something else, but now that we've removed it I don't think adding a new one back makes much sense and it feels more like a step backwards.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
