In case anyone didn't notice, an MC-Market staff member removed the previous thread with over 60 votes asking Mick to revert the recent change to Premium. There have been many other threads referencing the advertisements that have also gone missing over the past few days. I have just received permission from Mick to re-create this thread, and this time it should not be deleted.

Please vote on the poll, and if anyone has the screenshots that we gathered in the first thread please do link them here.

"We all got mad at Verringer, but at least he kept his promises and let us know before he made any major changes."

Thanks.

Ray XerisAU: The Premium perk "ad-free experience" was changed to "adsense-free ecperience." As a result of this, there is a big Prodity advertisement right above the shoutbox for Premium users.

I couldn't agree more, there is little to no reason why I should have to look at a giant ad every time I log into the site.

I'm sorry, you think a single $10 payment will bring more revenue to the owner of the website than having maybe like five ads on your screen at once that are barely even obtrusive?

How long do you even stay at the top of a webpage? I even checked to see what these ads look like and I have saw them as soon as they started to happen, they are NOT obtrusive.

What have we come to, begging to remove advertisements from a website when a simple, free resource called AdBlock is available?

This community is free everybody, buying a rank is optional. If anything, I believe that Supreme should be the rank at which all advertisements stop. Not being biased, because I was a Premium for months before Supreme was released. Supreme even lacks as many features than Premium does, even while costing nearly twice as much as Premium.

"This website does not take much money to run!" I can firmly believe that, which makes my point fairly invalid. However, I still beg to differ.

MarkElf What makes you so divine-like to a point that you should have to witness advertisements? Oh, those dirty advertisements. How DARE they make money off of working hard for their own forum!

Once Supreme was released, the "Perks" for premium were changed. You were probably premium for a very short time before you went ahead and Got supreme.

It's not an actual ad in that sense, he mean's the giant Prodity ad I believe.

Paradise If you actually read my post, you would have seen that I said that I had Premium for a month or so before Supreme came out. I did buy Supreme about a week after it came out, though, so you are a bit right.

MarkElf If you read my post as well, you can see that I even said that I saw the ad before it was "patched" for Supremes.

Thanks for your input, but this isn't about me being too "divine" to see advertisements. When I purchased Premium, I paid for an ad-free experience. Sure, the perks have been changed now, but the ToS at my time of purchase did not state that perks could be changed. While the ToS does say that now, I never agreed to those terms.

drgn You cannot disagree to the terms and be on this website. You checked a little box that says "I agree to the ToS" or the like most definitely.

I can assure you that, if you actually read these terms, that you would know about MC-Market having a little line in the ToS that says "MCM reserve the right to modify or revise the TOS at any time and for any reason".

Shortninja There were no terms when I purchased Premium. I sent a $15 payment to [email protected] and PM'd Verringer to give me a rank.

I was never notified of a change to the ToS, and such I have never agreed to any changes.

drgn The terms are there when you SIGN UP, not when you purchase a rank.

Are you given a cellular alert when a law in your country changes? Probably not. Yet, you are STILL expected to be a responsible citizen and follow those laws.

There weren't any terms when I signed up on August 23, 2014, either.

MC Market is required to give reasonable notice of any changes to the Terms of Service. Otherwise, I am not required to agree to those terms.

drgn Without any proof of this, I am not believing it really. Even if the site was in a primitive state, the terms were most likely notified in the announcements.

And, also, without any proof of this, I don't see any sensible information here.

If such a thing is true, then I have to admit that the team's skill at handling legal terms is very questionable (even with Anthony boasting about his "amazing" composition skills).

I don't necessarily find it hard to deal with the fact there is a huge ad at the top of the screen, I just feel like, in a sense;
I should get my money's worth.

I'm pretty sure, most people can agree that Verringer made the Supreme rank purely for revenue. There wasn't a need for it, he ran out of ideas for Supreme to have, so he instead chipped into Premium's perks, diminishing the overall effect of purchasing Premium in the first place.

I don't really care as such if they do go through with this, but I think I should get what I paid for.

Also; Shortninja, AdBlock doesn't work for such ads. Like with the recent YouTube updates, they are not actually supported as "ads" and more as things actually formatted into the website. To my knowledge, at least.

Jake Right click>Block Element. Not that hard.
Mobile /:
I feel arguments are valid on both sides here. I do not wish to quarrel further, I know that advertisements are beneficial for the site, but they should of at least provided us with some pre-warning for such an occurrence.
