In my opinion, this isn't a great idea.

1. Player's can just AFK for free money.
2. Why would a server owner their players to play, when it's obvious they'll just leave (Especially not donate.)?

The logic behind it is to give players $0.00001 per hour and only let them 'redeem' it at $10-$100 making it virtually impossible to make any money at all.

Still, a player can just afk and make no money, and of course they'll never donate. It doesn't help the server... (IMO)

Fair enough, but it does create the illusion of having plenty of players which can be attractive to real players.
Meh, seems kind of like scamming the real players. But screw morals amirite?

1. There will be a feature to stop counting minutes after a player is AFK
2. If the server is good enough, there's a chance the player will get hooked and continue playing even after the offer is over

It's actually quite easy for the server players to make money from this. The algorithm used to determine the amount credited is minutes played/60.
Also, there is not a minimum amount needed for cash-out.

For example:

Minutes Played (Required by Offer): 60
60 / 60 = $1

So you make $1 an hour? It seems like a little much. What stops me from logging my army of bots in and making $80 an hour?

Your MC account is authenticated when logging on.

Also, that formula can be changed. It's just an example.

They are alts. (real accounts)
Good point. I'll have to lower the amount credited/hour.

I could also possibly have a one account per IP address policy.

Proxies ;)
You should really think over security flaws, or exploitable bugs before you do this. How are you sending data to the Minecraft server? Here are some questions you should ask yourself. Are you sending POST requests to the website? Is the web server only accepting POST requests from the Minecraft server? Are you just directly storing data in a database?

You'll never get around this, you may have unique plugins, you may have custom content and a catchy theme, but you'll fuck yourself on the "paying players" part I guarantee it. There will be somebody who will figure out a way around any method you come up with, and then you'll end up just getting robbed by your own server.

"Hey guys, I apologize for not taking the time to get a thread design created but I wanted to get my project across to the community as soon as I could."

Even a silly thing like that ^
Shows that you're not taking the time to do it right, you're not stopping and thinking and planning. You think you have a good idea, and the first thing you do is rev your engine and spin your tires, it's very easy to see that as soon as you slide into 2nd gear, you're going to stall and this project will be trashed.
