Off topic: Wondering why is there so many bi and gay people nowadays?

Like for real. 10-20 years ago, there was like almost no gay or bi people, but nowadays I see like every other girl is bi, every third girl is lesbi. Same with boys. I understand people were hiding their sexuality 10-20 years ago, but to this degree I don't think so. Is it maybe the social media, all the media what's representing that we should experiment with our sexuality? I understand there is almost 7.5 billion people alive on Earth atm and it's actually possible that it's all for the cause to reduce overall human population?
When u think about it, it makes sense.

I'm opened to new thoughts and comments. But please no trolls, I'd like a nice debate or just conversation.

I'm not sure if there are actually more lgbt people, I personally think it just became easier to be open about it as it isn't really a taboo anymore. We became more open about ourselves and as more and more people dare to speak about their sexual preference it maybe feels like you got a backup and it no longer feels like you're alone with the secret, thus being able to tell others about it is easier.

Ofcourse you also have some people who want to be special and use it to get attention, but we'll just be acting like those aren't of any influence.

Hey one of my friends is a former Muslim who became a lesbian and completely threw out her religion and also became really conservative. She gets wonderful comments.

To this degree? I don't think so. Look man I have gay friends, everything is alright. I'm not attacking u or anything. It just doesn't make sense to me that there's just so many bisexual people nowadays, it has to be something else. Social media is obvious one, but why? I understand there were gay people before too, that were originally gay (borned like that) you are one of them and that's ok. But people are sheep nowadays and u have to admit, they just follow what's "in" and being bisexual is in nowadays, even more than being gay. Like every 2nd girl I see is bisexual? Like wtf?
