Unofficial ones already exist and I'm pretty sure you're already in them. Why is it a problem to have an official one enter the market. Moderation can be held by discord moderators, doesn't have the be the same staff.

Mainly because its adding extra responsibilities. I'd prefer to stick to resource chats and my premium features with the shoutbox for my advertising rather than skipping premium and going free with discord for unlimited advertising.

Next time, I'd suggest looking through existing suggestions to ensure that you don't re-suggest something.

not worth the effort. During the first long downtime, there was an unofficial discord that pretty much every regular was a part of. As soon as the site came online, it died.

the former problem is easy. just make a discord bot that verifies your MCM account, adds some tag or something. can't talk without verification.

This suggestion is going to be denied. I'm sure people suggested before. Spigot denied it for their reasons, MCM will deny it for its reasons as well. A competitor forum isn't doing that bad with discord, but for a huge community of unknown members like this, a discord would be hard to manage.

This has been suggested probably dozens of times before and been denied, like others above have said. We have a shoutbox which has pretty much all of the functionality that people use on a discord server and it's all kept in one place and easy to manage. We don't have to kick people out of the shoutbox after they're banned like we would have to in a discord, right?

There are just a million reasons why I wouldn't see this working so for the moment I'll deny it, thanks for the suggestion.
