So recently I believe most of us have become aware to the fact that impersonators have been swarming the community praying on the weak minded users who can't seem to take the most basic steps to prevent scamming. These users I speak of add these impersonators on Skype or they get added by the impersonator and believe anything they say. Then they get scammed and what do they do next? SCAM REPORT!! :D. See they open these scam reports and lets be honest here. Scam reports take forever these days. They basically put the impersonators Skype and no other evidence linking them to the actual Mc-Market user. Now what I am suggesting is an official Impersonation thread to be created and managed by either the admins or scam resolvers. Basically the community can begin to post on the thread alerting the OP of the thread to add all the names down. So this can inevitably allow our scam resolvers to close these useless and silly scam reports faster by looking at the impersonator list and if a Skype matches on on there they can close the report due to that user simply not taking the time to confirm who they are dealing with.

Soooo, in other words, basically a new section for impersonation threads? Or just a new prefix for the title?

Well basically a new thread, either as a subsection is scam reports or simply in the Help and Support section

Well, who is going to check this?
Well that would be up to the admins. Personally I think this would be managed by the scam resolvers since they would be dealing with this in their investigations.

Not that, new members are not going to know to check this, heck even if they know there is a section like this.

First off...
I am so sorry for your loss..
I can only imagine how painful it must have been losing your enter key.

Anyways.
Skype no longer gives out a user's ip to anyone that resolves their name. So that's unreliable.

As you said, scam reports take forever... Do you really think the scam report staff have time to manage this? Or anyone?

And as you said, the people who get scammed aren't that bright... Do we really want to be circulating the skype names of scammers? I would think it best to try and eliminate them from sight completely, if possible.

I'm not denying the potential of this idea...
Just offering a few counter arguments.

That adds into the stupidity of users. I mean nothing stops a user from opening a scam report but if an impersonation Skype was used and a scam resolver sees it on this list the case can be closed.

What if we did something similar to Scam Reports where you could submit an Impersonation Report? We could have staff check to make sure the reports are legit and if so, add them to a page of "DNDW" people. Just a thought.

So scam report staff who comment once every twenty four hours on a post are too busy to manage this once in a while? Also it's best to just forget these Skypes? I'm sorry what....[DOUBLEPOST=1454382562,1454382510][/DOUBLEPOST]

That could work. I feel that could be a waste of the staffs precious time though. I mean if they know they are an impersonator they do know no punishment can really be given.

Where the hell are new users getting skype names from impersonators if the account holding the rep isn't contacting them directly?
I really don't understand this process to be honest. Of my 5 months on this site I have never gotten approached by a skype owned by anyone on MCM unless that user was considering doing business with me and contacted me directly from their forums account.

Common sense honestly. Double check all security risks before taking any type of action.
I have been, but I'm a seller so it makes a bit more sense.

I suppose. Although I've only sold accounts as well :p
I was genuinely curious how this occurs.
I honestly feel people just need to use their brain.
that's definitely true, but some members just lack the experience to know when to apply it.
