What's wrong with the current system? (asking a trustworthy person on the forums to middleman for you)

All these tags and badges are unnecessary...
I suppose a badge wouldn't hurt but it's still not really needed

Plus there's the same problem with the "Trusted" tag/badge, it can be easily abused

Free middlemen. Its not hard to get payment of item or $$ from both sides, and exchange it.

No because the user who is a middleman can always lie, even if the user is 99.9% trustworthy, there is 1% they can scam.

Not necessary for this forums, just be cautious for when you do deals with another user is the best way to go and yes of course you can have middleman.
