Make mm an official thing, only take in reputable members and make them verify ID, and restrict the middleman forum to ONLY to the verified mms, tired of seeing shit mms like this (https://www.mc-market.org/threads/648392/#post-4784004) that just mm to either exit or get banned.

Please make this a thing, and restrict it to only the top mms (zyger, violet) or make it a requirement to have 100 rep and verify ID (kyc).

Yea so its better to use some randy as mm violet/zyger are the go to mms anyways and every big deal is done by them. the official badge doesn’t change anything, just prevents shit mms

Incredibly bad example. Someone being banned does not always correlate to their business - Tinuy was banned for excessive violations, outside of their business. If anything, this is an attack on them and to be frank, pointless and probably doesn't help your point at all.

How do you think Violet and Zyger got to be the middlemen they are today if not for MCM? I understand that you think that it would be advisable to have 'official' middlemen but to be frank it's just like most other things here. You need to rely on common sense. Don't use people who would otherwise be untrustworthy - and yes, we're human. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes even the middlemen can end up scamming. If you're in the community, it's made pretty damn obvious those two in particular are the people you go to for the sake of trust. With that being said, you're taking a risk with them too even if it is apparently smaller.

Edit - as an afternote, people who don't visit the community will have little or no experience with middlemen in general. The issue arises when people's situations call for someone cheaper or more convenient for them at the time, or perhaps a lack of experience in choosing trustworthy users. Perhaps there should be a wiki page on it - perhaps there already is - but restricting people's ability to choose is an absolute no-no - and restricting all business in this area is also bad. And that's what you'd be doing here.

At this point, I would go so far as to call the suggestion elitist too. Also how do you think Zyger even got 100 rep? You're asking for farming at this point; the exact opposite of what you want in someone you want to be able to trust. Also, what do you expect ID verification to do?

When you get scammed, Mick/MCM holds no responsibility for this. If this suggestion gets implemented, and you got scammed by an official Middleman, then MCM will get in trouble, and Mick wants to avoid that. I totally disagree with this suggestion.

Edit, let me clarify: you're saying because Violet and Zyger have lots of rep they should get a badge for it. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of rep? Isn't feedback/reputation supposed to speak for itself? There is nothing here that a badge will do that rep already doesn't except add explicit endorsement; see my first post.

There's still ways to convince support to revert those types of payments unless they've changed their policies.

Regardless their fees and conversion rates are pretty bad, plus they can randomly lock / limit your PayPal account without notice.

Many members on MC-Market who might not even have a single post or have $100+ know that Violet & Zyger are extremely reputable Middlemen. I don't see a reason to include an "official/verified mm" tag because almost everyone on MC-Market knows of either Violet or Zyger.
