Hey there MCM,

January of 2019, I bought an OG Minecraft account. I bought it from a user who went by the name of Ivory (on this site), who used to own the other account names E*ro, F*ul, G*ve, and W*rning

I bought the account F*ul, an OG with a 2013 and 2016 cape and no name history. The transaction went well, I went first, paying $700 if I recall. He shared his screen on Discord, transferring the information to mine and providing me what he claimed was the TID/OGE.

I made sure that day to keep all information on the account in a .txt file of all pertinent information about the account.

The same individual approximately 3 months before the account was pulled offered what they claimed were 2 Minecon cape codes and having known the first transaction went smoothly and having known them for a year, I trusted it. I sent $999 to them on Zelle and they claimed that they never received the payment, which my bank had confirmed the payment had went through.

I can't get my money back for either. I know for myself that I am an amateur when it comes to buying and selling things but this was a quick how-to lose $1,700.

Things could be worse, I don't really care about it anymore. If anyone wants the supposed gift code, OGE address and all info I have on the account, by all means, I just don't care anymore.

open scam report?
I'm not going to bother. Looking into it, the user is already banned here. I only ever really used MCM to find an account and use it, I was never one to buy/sell accounts and named or collect them. I bought that one last year and used it solely to enjoy it and play on it rightfully.

Apparently the user is already banned on this site for scamming/ban evasion which I didn't see until I logging in again recently, I'm not the MCM dweller.

always use an mm, scary stuff bro. i had a similar but less scarring experience this week lol. some guy who traded over 300+ in btc with me (we did like 5-6 transactions of like 40-60$) till eventually he sent me his btc addy one day and we agreed on a price. i sent him the 45$ btc knowing hes probably on his way to sending it rn. hes been online and seen messages, declined calls.

its been 2 days, idrc anymore. hes banned on this site and trying to reappeal to get back on it but yeah, sad life bro. makes my story sound 1000x better compared to yours. people in this world will do anything for money. if i payed your bestfriend a 5 million to leave you, chances are he would. people in this world go mad crazy for money. its just peoples prices are different. that guys scamming price was 900$ to be comfortable with, harrison's was 2k (ex mod on mcm) and some kids even do it for 10$. i guess its all in perspective. im sure even the most reputable onsite has a scamming price, even if thats a billion dollars. people will do anything for money lol.

ps i know its not a lot of money to yall rich boys on a minecraft forum server but it has impacted me, there is no way to transfer my irl money to online money so i rely on a stable profit online only, plus im very very very broke. also im sorry op for your loss, was trying to sympathise with you, i get ur pain.

i wasnt talking about this scenario but generally. in the second scenario, ideally an mm could have checked the minecon codes and held the payment, but usually this doesnt happen unless specially requested. generally even you would agree mm > no mm.

Hello to those who have been replying to this thread!

I was thinking about making a completely separate thread but I suppose I will just extend it here instead of making a whole "part 2" sort of mess. As jumbled around a bit in the initial thread, I purchased the account F*ul from an individual who went by the name of Ivory. I'm not entirely big on the buying and selling of accounts across any platform, as I have never had an OG Instagram, Snapchat, or Twitter. I have some really nice names but on some more lesser-known or less-popular apps such as iFunny, Kik (I know, I know, I cringe at saying that myself).

I bought the account with the sole intention of it being my final, I didn't care for any other account whether they had more capes or a cooler name. F*ul was fine, and it had two capes with no name history, which, at the time, I was learning about all these things that make an account valuable. It was the perfect take, and so as I said, the first transaction went smoothly. Nothing shady, I, in my own will, went first and sent them $700 through Zelle, and they proceeded to open a screenshare of their Discord screen showing them properly transferring my information onto the account, that way my email, my password, and my security questions were all secure on the account. I believe what I missed was not having ownership of the TID or OG e-mail, I was given a gift code (well two, but I will get to that part in a moment), and I was given the name of the e-mail used to sign up for the account, which by means was not an official e-mail and would just be used as a place-holder sort of deal.

What I received when I purchased the account: gift code + ownership of the account, and like I said, I made sure to keep all pertinent information about the account in a .txt file which I still have. Gift code, the 3 e-mails (that i know of) that the account has ever had used under, the creation date and location such as the state and zip, as well as the birthdate on the account and registration IP.

Where I said I was given two gift codes, a little over half a year of owning the account, the person who sold it to me eventually started to pester me to buy it back, and I was negligent of that because I had grown attached and already made memories on it. I tested their honesty and claimed I lost the original gift code for the account that they originally gave me when they sold it to me, which had turned out that when I asked, they provided me with the gift code for the account but as you would have guessed, the one he gave me originally did not match up with the one he gave me the second time around. My suspicions stayed but I was still dumb. In some time, he had offered me two Minecon codes that he claimed he had, explaining how he had them and that you had to use this sort of technique to apply them to your account since Mojang would not assist you with codes that were pre-dated. It was all this odd encrypt/decrypt stuff that I didn't understand, and it was probably chicken scratch anyway. Fast forward, yeah, I gave in, he said he had a 2012 code and a 2015 code, and would sell both to me for 1k since I was a friend (and we had built a friendship over a year's span). I sent him 1k within that week when I got the money from my next paycheck and then came the waiting game. Days passed and I kept asking if he got it, as if you didn't guess there either, he claimed each time that he did not receive the money. I watched my bank statement go from pending to a published statement and even contacted my bank about it, but he was still in denial.

Following this, his replies thinned. When I worried about having possibly realized I was finally thrown over, he would explain how I would be wrong to assume he would ever do such a thing. Then, just two months followed and I tried to log onto Minecraft like normal and play with friends and I was met with the screen telling me to enter my credentials. Entering them; false. Password was wrong. I retried it and realized what happened. Checking my e-mail, there was no e-mail or password reset. No indicator from Minecraft or Mojang about any change in my account. It just happened to be gone.

I caught the guy in a few more lies that followed. As I said, the person owned E*ro, F*ul, G*ve, and W*rning. Looking on NameMC, I saw that F*ul had now shown to be friends with G*ve, his alternate account at the time. I knew I was screwed over, and that they just stuck with a constant strand of lies and manipulation to rat out that they took 1k from me and had planned on recovering F*ul from under me as well in that same period of time. I should have listened to my gut when they gave me a fake second gift code and started pestering to buy it back.

That is my fault and there is no blame on anyone else but my own. It's a life experience I have to deal with, and where it isn't world-crushing, it does suck and made me realize that even a year isn't enough to truly build a friendship or even know somebody. I hope this helps save someone else. I am not rich, I don't always have money to expel. That account was honestly one of my favorite things in terms of gaming, where I had a lot of fun with friends. It was definitely a cool flex to have such a nice name and some capes, but to see it gone with that much ease. I think that will wrap this thread up, and I am sorry if this looks out to be a boo-hoo sorry-me type of deal. In the end, I learned that their intention was there all along. They admitted to using a first/last name alias the entire time, even with an established bank account and PayPal account.

I hope everyone has a great day/evening or night!

>I don't know much about pulling or getting accounts back, and with all that was written here, I am sure someone here can determine whether it's possible (or not) to ever recover such. I doubt it, but I have as much as I can supply you with if you want to swing at it, just let me know I suppose.
