OG Checker

Hey,

I know little to none about coding, and I'd asume this would be somewhat hard to do but, nonetheless I think this would be a nice addition to keep the OG section somewhat clean.

So, when you put a name into the name slot when selling an og in the og section it should check a dictionary/google/something to see if its an actual word with a definition. It could also check to see if it has a suffix/prefix or if its plural. The main problum I see with this is that it would be a little werid for account names that have real names like Alex or John. Thanks!

A lot - and I mean a lot of OGs are not "real" words, as you've mentioned. On the contrary, a lot of words are also not OG ("dermatologically" would be, for example, not even semi). There's no use having an integrated dictionary when you can just Google words by typing it, too.

What is the checker supposed to do? Filter posts? Estimate the value?

Because both are incredibly unrealistic. There are just too many words, from ever-changing slangs to rapper names, popular movies/anime shows, drug names, common words in other languages, etc., that you wouldn't find in the largest of wordlists. And even if you were to spend weeks making a custom wordlist, it'd still become obsolete within a week as new slang comes out, as new rappers become popular, as new movies come out, etc. Languages are constantly changing.

It hasn't yet been denied by Mick even though he goes through suggestion threads daily and denies them/moves them to pending, so I just felt like sharing my input as the last nail in the coffin that this suggestion isn't feasible. No harm there.

This is simply impossible and this requires Artifficial Intelligence in ways that are yet to be discovered. A big amount of OG accounts are not even dictionary words, they can be a catchy phrase or some sort of slang or whatever. Basically even trying to make such a thing would be a waste of time.
