Hey, I know a few people here use OVH and I just had a quick question. If I buy an OVH VPS will OVH require me to send them any legal documents or information e.g my social security number?

Cheers

They may or may not.
Depending on if you provide enough billing information.

(obviously if you put in fake information they wont set up a server for you)

OVH isn't ran by Indians, its ran by the French.

What I meant by 'enough information' is, not leaving the billing address blank, don't put in your name, or use really easy to tell fake information.
They glance over the information, obviously if you put in 'no where drive fairyland make believe land' or 'John Smith' as your information there is a higher chance of them asking you for real information. They don't lookup your name and where you live to see if its real information, they just take a quick glance. Making up something a bit more convincing like, '34 Turnup dr redwood newyork' and even put in your name as 'jake maythews', this will put you on the safer side.

Dont think about the billing information like, 'Oh this doesnt matter'... I did that on 3 servers from OVH and they were never setup. I also just saw someone make a post last week saying 'I bought a VPS from OVH but they havent set it up because they want my identification'... Just do what I said above and you will be fine.
