I've seen comments around here that say that all MC versions above 1.8 suck and that servers using later versions won't work. It has been suggested that is the reason the "MC Market Minecraft Server" isn't getting players. I would like to point out tho, that:
one day,
all Minecraft servers will be 1.11+ and you might have to learn to PvP with that style (unless the servers decide to disable that PvP style with NBT tags). At the very least, 1.11+ clients will be required to join servers. One day
1.8 won't stay forever. It's 3 versions behind already and it'll be behind even more when 1.12 comes out (the snapshot is out already).
What kind of game do you think Minecraft will be if the players stop updating?
All the years I've played Minecraft, I have never seen such big playerbase update delay as 1.9+ has.
Nobody was playing 1.5 or 1.6 when 1.8 came out, so why are people playing 1.8 when 1.11 is out?
