Okay, so now to the meat of the topic. So I'm going to be very straight forward and honest with a few things. I have a budget of $1500 and I'm not sure whether I should start an OPFactions or an OPPrison server or even both! So I come to MCM for some advice regarding that. I am currently making a plan on a document on how I want the potential server(s) to be but I am not disclosing anything to anyone till I find the "perfect" person.

The budget of $1500 must cover everything from the hosting to the advertisement!
If anyone has pre-made set-ups, with an exclusive spawn please PM me as I am interested; of course it has to be OPFactions/OPPrison.
I am also looking for a system administrator and developer who can potentially help me. Not so much the developer but system administrator to help me with the hosting (setting up protection, and just in general)

So far this is what I was moving towards:

Hosting: £10 a month (OVH VPS 8GB), although I am also thinking about SYS for £40 a month.
Graphics: £80 (Banner, logo, server icon, maybe a website background too)
Exclusive set-ups (including spawn ideally): £50-£100
Website: £40 (Enjin most probably)
Buycraft: £10 (a month)
Plugins: £100-£150
Systems administrator: £7/hour
Advertisement: £300-£1250 (need to advice on this)

What do you guys think? What should I get? How should I spend the money?

P.S I am asking for advice, please no aggressive or negative posts! I am not very experienced which is why I'm asking for help/advice. So if I am doing anything wrong just say nicely please. Thank you

1) Although, you seem pretty set on Factions and/or Prison, I would recommend trying to create a server that is unique. Factions and Prison are way too overdone in my opinion, and I wouldn't try to create them unless you have fresh and new ideas that no one has seen before.
2) Also, I would recommend XenForo over Enjin. Looks much more professional in my opinion.

But regardless, good luck finding your person and good luck with your server.

I definitely agree with the Xenforo part, but right now I think I'll stick with enjin, this is because I believe it would be easier for me personally to manage, but I am definitely planning on moving to XenForo in the near future. Thank you for the comment!

If you are thinking about an OpPrison server and mostly US I have the domain MCPRISON.US which i am no longer using

Highly recomend a OPPRISON server

But make it intresting like

Don't OP-Prisons or OP-Factions, do a unique server that could be something CosmicPrisons.com or introduce a new game mode to the minecraft community. Don't be generic.

As others have said you could make a unique server, and tbh that would be really nice but prepare to expand, and even double your budget if you're going for something unique as you'll need lots of advertising, and I assume development as well. For OP prison or OP factions either is fine and will be profitable with the right advertising method, which I unfortunately do not know .

Use Flarum. Alternative to enjin and Xenforo and arguably just as good as Xenforo. Also free [DOUBLEPOST=1495750997][/DOUBLEPOST]As for advertisement I suggest finding a youtuber, 50-100k subs, and making a partnering deal with them. If not then just hire youtubers and when you get a steady player base than buy a .org slot

I don't have the money to start and customise a complete new "gamemode". Although I am trying my best to add features that will make my server stand out.

OPPrison, also id suggest spending more on graphics as you should buy from TotallyDrawn

I think £80 is a fair price for graphics. Could potentially go up to £100.

£10 for the server icon give or take
£30 for the server logo
