$5/GB for a L5520 CPU is overpriced and $10/GB for a E3 is still overpriced, there are a few companies like Sparked, Zelon, Nodecraft that offer Minecraft Hosting on E3 processors for cheaper than that.

I personally can't speak for the quality of Spartanhost because I've never used it.
Edit: Spartan Host has a clean track record for providing excellent services over a number of years. Look around on LowEndTalk for some reviews.

Spartanhost dedicated servers are a bit over priced but they own all of their hardware and colocate it. They are trustworthy and have been around for 5 years, Ive used them for 2 years.The title says it all
