Hey mc-market;
It's been awhile since I have been in the market to build a network. My partner and I have been building a network from the ground up and have a lot planned to do. However we would like your opinion do people recommend a dedicated box if so who do you recommend I assume OVH?

I was debating on going with shared hosting between possibly fallout-hosting, heavynode, or pebblehost. I have used Heavynode in the past but I plan on taking the network to a whole different level this time and taking it serious. The network will consist of a few different servers and of course including bungee.

Thank you so much for your time.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Definitely not OVH. There are many other providers out there miles ahead of OVH haha.
Haha okay, what is your opinion on shared hosting.[DOUBLEPOST=1610437582][/DOUBLEPOST]
Thank you, I'll look into them looks like they do not have any us based servers though I may be over-looking it.

OVH has really reliable DDoS protection as well as service uptime that just cannot be beaten by the smaller hosts.

I am not convinced by that. A host I used to manage was a large OVH customer until going to own-hardware, we had a bit of downtime and couldn't get through to anyone to resolve it. I have also seen smaller hosts (including some based here in the UK) that have great DDoS protection and no issues.

You will find that a lot of reputable hosts wouldn't ever consider OVH.

Thanks everyone for your opinion; what are the best shared hosting services out there? I personally love HeavyNode but wanted everyone's opinion on that.

Usually, shared hosting isn't that great unless you aren't expecting a lot of players.
I'd stay away from Heimsnet, as they've had countless issues + drama over the past bit with numerous ownership changes.

Go for Hetzner and if you are expecting more players and want better performance there's some cheap plans on Ready2Frag.

LavaBucket Do you got Discord by any chance?
