As the titles explains who do you think is the best DDoS protection provider both pricing & amount of protection for game servers?

ProxyPipe has really good Minecraft DDoS protection but only works for attacks up to 200Gbps. If you are being hit with larger attacks go with Voxility (though they charge a lot more) however, they have the capacity to stop up to 800Gbps (if I recall correctly).

I've not herd of them but they sound good.

Since I'm looking to get a server from wholesale internet and I don't know if they have DDoS protection but I'm currently looking at www.x4b.net

Well ProxyPipe charges $165/month on the lowest plan I believe. Your best bet is to go to BuyVM and get their DDoS protected VPS from Voxility and route a proxy or gre tunnel to your WSI dedicated machine.
Now just wondering, what machine were you getting with them?

Meh OVH is decent if you know what to look for and yes their DDoS protection is ok if that person does not know how to DDoS correctly.

I'm thinking of a floating IP sort of model get a VPS that has a high DDoS protection directs the traffic back to the main IP.

Protection works great for me. All of my clients are happy, you must not have setup the protection properly, used the network firewall, add some filtering via iptables for traffic that doesn't saturate the port. Basically 100% up-time on all of my VPS in OVH.

Most server hosts (hopefully) go with ddos Protection when you buy a server. Or at least mine does.
