So you base your observations on your friend having trouble? Have you considered the option that he may have had a form of depression from the start, and the effects of the weed only brought it to the surface? If you have any sort of half-reliable study based on the depressing effects of weed, I'd be interested, but this sort of conclusion is usually best to pull from scientific studies.

Yes, this was my observations, but again, I could be wrong, it could be that it was only a single case related to what was happening to my friend. Everyone should try it out himself, if he wants to form an opinion. And no, I don't have any half-reliable study based topics about this, but this could be kind of interesting for you.
