Hello MCM members.
In my spare time, I write and record music.
Written a piece this afternoon, but not sure if I like it or not.
Wanted to hear other people's opinions to see if it is actually good or not.
With music, different people hear different things.
Thanks,
Twinight <3

That really good. This type of music is great for fantasy game menu background song.

Haha, thanks!
I actually wrote this piece to add to my portfolio for people interested in music for games.
Didn't turn out as good as I wanted though :p
I'll just put the piece that I sent to ShiftClicker here.
Much prefer this one:

But isn't really 'written' for a game.

at 1:19-1:45 sounds too "busy". I think you need to make some adjustments on the strings. The transition at 1:45 is a bit harsh. Otherwise, great work! Keep it up!

Thank you.
I personally disagree that it sounds too busy, and think that the ends sound busier with all the timpani.
However, all musicians hear different things :)
And yes, that transition is awful :p
Thanks for your kind words!

I love the first piece. I think it takes too long to develop into that climactic point, and because of that there are some transitional flaws. I actually dislike the second piece that you prefer more, partly because of that annoying note you're using. I see what you tried to do there though. I just like melodic strings--again, just me.

Everyone has their own opinion and I respect that.
When writing that first one, I didn't want to rush into the climatic point as you said, and it looks like it might have dragged out a bit.
Maybe one day I'll return to this piece and change bits or make it longer.

I've always been and always will be a big fan of Jazz.
The piece I've written is right up my alley as far as the styles that I like.
I understand that not everyone is the same, just thought I'd point out that it's what I prefer.
Thanks for your opinion and kind words :)[DOUBLEPOST=1494786653][/DOUBLEPOST]
What did you use for this fruity loops, ableton, garageband, etc?
This was all done on my keyboard :)
