Opinions on server hardware and pricing

Hi there,

I am known as Flawws and I recently purchased a dedicated server from OVH. I’ve got this hooked up with a Windows Server 2019 OS and then Hyper-V for Ubuntu and other stuff. I’m thinking about renting out some Minecraft server with Pterodactyl to people who want someone who’s not in a company and wants a server with some decent specs.

The current specs:

CPU: Intel Xeon-E 2136
RAM: 32GB DDR4
Disk: 2x SSD NVMe 500GB Enterprise Class Soft RAID
Uplink: 1gbps with unmetered traffic
Location: Canada
Protection: OVH DDOS Protection, pretty good.

I’m requesting opinions on if people would purchase Minecraft servers from me with these specs and how much I should charge per gb

I am able to offer additional IPs to people for an extra charge per month.

If this does well I am able to increase storage and RAM.

You should come up with the price. If you want to be a budget provider, come up with a price that's cheap but something that is still going to make you money. If you want to be a premium provider, charge a higher price with something unique.

Also, another thing, if you want to start a host, I would recommend having a budget of ~$100/mo. (WHMCS, Servers, Addons/Themes, etc)

Don't really want to be a hosting provider, I'm looking to just rent out small servers to people.
