TO CLARIFY IT WOULD BE A VIDEO COURSE

Been seeing a lot of quite horrible startup servers going around recently, was thinking about creating a complete server tutorial, going over literally everything you need to know to make a good server from the very beginning. Custom Discord bot, required notepad++ shortcuts/features, contacts with artists, developers and all of the sorts. Been in the industry for 4+ years and have made countless servers, I could easily make a decent tutorial but had a couple questions.

Note: This would all be coming from someone with 4+ years of experience, and experience with 300+ player networks that have ran flawless.

EXAMPLES OF WHAT WOULD BE INCLUDED
- Very first thing would be an entire price overview, of an estimated amount of how much you'd need to spend for what you want to accomplish.
- Starting a server from the very basics, how to host it at first etc.
- Helping you establish what gamemode you'd want to en-dour.
- Configurating Discord bots & how to host them.
- Tips and tricks for creating aesthetically pleasing messages etc.
- Price/Art comparisons via mc market and who I believe is the best.
- How to properly configure and optimize spigot.ymls etc.
- Dissecting timings/sparks (Finding sources of lag).
- Locating and removing memory leaks.
- Finding what dedi you should use for what server and who to order it from.
- Trello tips and tricks (Organizing development).
- A quality advertisement plan (What Discord's/Youtubers/serverlists etc).
- Setting up a Server Discord/Staff Discord/Development Discord (Can copy my setups via Xenon)
- Contacts of what developers I believe you should use for what servers.
- Identifying quality and nonquality plugins on spigot/mcm.
- An active database of what public plugins are known to have issues at that time.
- Setting up direct and quality staff guides.
- Creating an aesthetically pleasing buycraft store.
- Identifying what packages would be most beneficial for profit and player relations.
- Implementing other non-predatory profit methods.
- Creating a quality name.
- Setting up a domain.
- Properly setting up bungeecord to handle 300+ players (with any exploits fixed).
- Creating desirable ranks/crates.
- 100% needed Notepad++ shortcuts/tips.
- Setting up WinSCP/Filezilla.
- Identifying the best server jar for each gamemode.
- How to properly optimize and test your servers performance.
- How to create quality, custom gfx for your server.

I'm also still actively in the server owning industry, so as servers evolve I can easily create further tutorials.

Would you purchase something like this?
How much would you purchase it for if above is true?
What's one thing you'd really want in the series?

Thanks,

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Wouldn't purchase it at all, there's many free series on YouTube which show the exact same thing, maybe not in the same detail.

Would be a good idea for free.
While yes there are free videos, 99.9% of them do not have experience within 300+ player networks, along with the fact that most are outdated and simply don't apply to how competitive servers are nowdays.[DOUBLEPOST=1580079198][/DOUBLEPOST]

Also most don't go in depth about the aesthetics of how you can make the server look half decent. While yes free videos are out, I could go much more in depth within the process for overall a much better final product.

I wouldn't look into this. Yep, you've got pretty good experience, but I still don't believe it should have a price tag for what you're offering. :)

Who would purchase a series for this information. Custom Discord Bots? Required Notepad++ Shortcuts? This sounds like an absolute joke and please stop speaking out of your ass with the annoying business jargon.

If marketed correctly there could be a fairly large market for this. The people above are saying stuff based on their own opinions, and not taking others into account. As this may not apply to them as they are not actively seeking to start a successful server they're dismissive of it.

If you do this, make sure you connect with the right people to promote this, otherwise it will be a waste of time.
There is no large market for this.

To elaborate on my post.
- Giving me a Discord bot (probably copy&pasted)
- Tweaking Notepad++ (it works perfectly out of the box apart from one or two easy settings)
- Giving me contacts to artists and developers (there's a forum on here with a whole lot of them)

I feel like I should just make a document on how to make a good and successful server because it seems these people who "manage" servers think that people should spent $1000+ to just start a server lol.

Aspiring and determined people who want to get into the server scene. This also may apply to setup specialists who want to sharpen their skills in particular areas or even existing server owners who want to expand on their current server.
There are Discord bots that do what most small servers need already out there (music, moderation, tickets, etc).
I believe it needs to offer way more to even think about tagging it with a price.
It wouldn't help many people - I'd be surprised if, after a while, the customer actually benefit from the resource.

That was merely me giving examples of what I would be doing. Obviously it would go much more indepth than this. It would be from the very beginning about what type of server you are making, the proper server jar from that gamemode, how to completely optimize your spigot.yml etc, creating an aesthetically pleasing Discord (Also allowing users to simply copy and paste my Discord layout via Xenon), what artists via mcm are good quality for the money, what developers to contact for what gamemodes.

That was merely me naming 1/10 of the sub categories that would be included.

Obviously since it has a price tag it would be 10x more in depth than anything else out. I would give people a reason to purchase it.[DOUBLEPOST=1580256018][/DOUBLEPOST]

I understand there are many free tutorials but if you'd like a bland name, expensive shit logo, unoptimized gameplay and little to no knowledge about what's actually going on behind the scenes then go right ahead.

Ah, now I see what you're going for, and I've changed my opinion towards your idea. Go for it man, there are plenty of server owners who would suffer from the issues you've posted. Just make sure you're offering enough for the cost you pose for the help.

If marketed correctly you could make money off of this, but don’t do it. Your customers will be impressionable kids/young teens looking to start a server, and I think charging money for a compilation of information that can easily be gained by browsing Minecraft related forums is a bit scummy.
