So I decided to try my luck at drawing a server logo. Here is the finished product:

BTW sorry for the watermark, I know people aren't going to try to steal this, just want to make sure :)

Anyways, I was just wanting to know your opinions on this. I know it isn't very good, but it's my first attempt. Just let me know what you think!

Honestly I like it, the only negative things I see about it is that there isn't a lot of detail and its not very crisp but that's just me
Thanks! I will definitely make sure to work on adding details a smoothing some things out to make it look a lot cleaner. Thanks for your feedback!

Hmm, some things like the windows and the sky do feel out of place. Try to work on the shadows in the windows more and the sky looks too much like it's made with a pure gradient. You could try making the transition by hand, perhaps that would help.

Overall the drawing does feel a bit bland(there is a lack of detail in the whole drawing), it doesn't offer much to my eye.

I'm sorry if this sounds mean, I've tried to be as objective as I can and give some constructive criticism.

Thanks for the feedback! I don't find this mean, it really just helps me work on what to add and change and such. I will definitely work on these things :).

Invest in a tablet, line thickness is constant you will want it to vary.

Good start for a beginner, however you need to work on your perspective (especially on the text)

I really like it, great work! Possibly for your next project think smaller. Start with basic shapes and build detail into those, that way you're not worrying about trying to detail a massive piece ahha. Definitely a very good first try, well done!

Nothing wrong with constant thickness, if used correctly.[DOUBLEPOST=1487801679][/DOUBLEPOST]If that's a logo then make it transparent as having a background limits it's usability.

Gradient ... mistake of beginner ... don't use to much gradient ... .
Also need: - textures (cracks, bricks, shadows, highlight )
Logo must have transparent background, castel looks plane is not 3D ... don't use same color on 3d ... (exemple : pick a place from where light come , on part of light make it a green open and a place where light don't come , use a dark green )

I learn from Totally Drawn (from speed art) look close and you can do same thing (with a tablet graphic)
If don't want to do hand drawn , use vector (Adobe Ilustrator). Dont use mouse on hand drawn (you don't have stabilization).
