Hey, I'm going to get right into it.
So I'm attempting and trying my very hardest to create a 1.7 beta soup server.
Now before you all complain, I think it's very obvious we aren't going to be getting every single plugin correct that they had, due to it being in mid 2011, but I'm going to give it a shot!

FAQ:

Why?
Most people here liked the old golden days of minecraft, in it's simplistic fun. It was much more enjoyable hunting with friends, building bases, having huge wars, becoming the best fighter on the server, but now them things become, well... boring?
Now with BetaMC you can revive them glory days! And return the feels of back in 2011.
How?
We will be using an old craftbukkit version and simply build off of that, using the oldest versions of certain plugins to bring the full extent.
You will also have to join from a beta 1.7.2 clientInstructions of how to join on a beta 1.7.2 client will be shown on the release trailer.
When?
We plan to release this late September bringing all them feels back alive, as a soup, basebuilding, pvp glory server!
Betatesters?
Yes, We currently need 10 betatesters that will be committed to helping the server start up and develop into successful stages, and when the server releases the ten betatesters automatically become staff if desired.
If you would like to betatest please leave a comment down below on why you think you should be picked as a betatester.

That video brought back some good memories, that mining noise is just so satisfying.

I even added in some minecraft music, btw that was recorded today.

i was gonna play but during beta testing i realized armor is fucked in this version
i got hit 5- 10 times
no armor left
likei had armor on but my armor bar was gone so i took 4 hearts a hit so sadly i wont play :/
and every time u downgrade to this version it resets all ur mc settings

That's why there is /kit pvp you can use every minute that gives you full iron set, I like the armour wasting away fast it stops amazingly skilled people spawncamping everyone, if he's low he can run. It also adds picking up armour from the floor which is a good addition also.
And for the record it changes 4 controls and 3 option settings, Anyone who isn't lazy wouldn't mind that.

ik but putting on the armor isnt that simple u gotta take off the armor your wearing then put on the new stuff

Just switch it if the dura is low?

its not that easy u have to take off the armor and put on new shit in that time ur gonna die lol
and if u can just spam kits is this gonna be kit pvp? or wut
i kinda think this version is to outdated to get a player base tbh

Not looking for a playerbase, the kir only has full iron and a dsword and soup row, they're the default items, so you can mine for diamond etc.

He's saying you can't shift click or right click the armour maybe get a plugin for that.

You couldn't make a plugin, but you can still click on a chestplate with another chestplate and swap them.

I understand why you're making this server and such (for the nostalgic memories) but the problem is, most of us have grown up from when we first started playing, when we first started playing everything was new so we actually had something to explore, new people to meet ect.

I'd still love to see this server go underway as it does look and sound amazing. Be sure to open it soon.
