I would suggest adding that by default for all users it shows the resources which were updated lately since if this is our default it would not be funny to update your resources and make the users see that your resource is receiving updates, without this everyone will think that your resource was abandoned.

I completely agree, I just uploaded an update to all my resources and I am surprised that none of my resources appear in the first pages, that sucks.
This is going to result in no one uploading updates and everyone just using the new Bump option.

If people just update their resources to get higher on the list sure, but if it genuinely needs an update.. they'll update it.

The people spam updating to get higher on the list won't be able to do that so maybe updates will be more in-depth, and then they can use the bump however they like.

That's my view on it anyways. I'm fine with both the updated way and the bump way but definitely prefer the bump.
I'm pretty sure people also receive notifications of resource updates if you're worried they'll think your resource is inactive as the op said.

I understand your point, but there are people who have not updated their resource in 1 year and now with one click they put their resource on the first pages. And this will only make anyone with abandoned resources to be in the first pages without any effort.

I think that mcmarket can make a fusion of both features, both the updates and the bump, but as it is now, I dislike it a lot.

Now the authors who have abandoned resources with the slightest effort will be in the first pages, when those who make an effort to bring something new and good updates will be overshadowed by them, it makes no sense to keep updating my resources.

You go to the people who already have the resource
Ok but what about the new people? Those people will not know about your setups if they never go ahead and think that your setup is abandoned and that takes away sales from people. Therefore, it will be foolish to update something that will not have purchases because your resource will be hidden and on the users who update to update and come out first then for that there are the moderators of mc-market to sanction those people who only update an example ViaVersion and They put "Update to 1.18" when a big change has not been made in the setup, I understand that updating a setup due to a bug or something is normal but updating only to change a version of a plugin seems stupid in this case, moderation would already enter to do his job.

And believe me if you had the resources to pay you would agree with all of us that we really deserve to be on the first page when.

I completely agree, the bump option on the resources has been one of the worst ideas of mcmarket, the only thing they had to do was to moderate the idiots that bumped their resources in their updates.

I am literally thinking of no longer doing updates because of this.
