Since MCM is quite large and has a lot going on, I think taking steps towards customer service and organization is something long overdue. Businesses become successful from having their consumers (users in this case) feel like they are in a welcoming and fair environment. Not only to invest money into ranks and roles but to also invest bringing their business onto a platform.

I suggest the staff team really consider setting up a management organization.

Upper management will get paid and staff below will not, but they will have something to look forward to by acting correct and doing a good job. Right now I hear the only incentive is the “clout” of having a red name and power, similar to how early Minecraft servers “rewarded” well know players.

To educate current staff on skills they may lack, I’d suggest spending a hundred dollars or so on a webinar or mini course from skillshare or something. Customer service is key in business.

Let me know your thoughts or ideas below.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

The idea that "clout" is the only incentive our staff team has for servicing the community is far removed from reality.
Not least of all because public opinion of a community member historically always drops the moment they obtain a red name.
If a staff candidate did accept an invitation due to a desire for clout, they would quickly become disappointed, and resign.

All levels of MC-Market's staff team are already paid based on their activity.
It’s not much. MC-Market doesn’t bring in enough to pay proper wages, but it is something.
That said, no person, after experiencing a staff position here for any extended duration of time, would choose to remain here for the benefits alone. The number of resignations we’ve seen can attest to that.

Every long standing member of our current team stays because this community means something to us. Because we’ve all benefitted as users of this platform and members of this community, and we want to be a part of making it better.

The piece of your suggestion I do find interesting and agreeable, is the idea of "training" staff members outside of the scope of just MCM specific tasks.

Reason being that occupying a position as a staff member on a Minecraft related marketplace isn’t something anyone can proudly put on a resume or CV. Time spent providing services here is, as far as it relates to a career, completely wasted. I would like if MCM’s management would begin to invest some of our resources into paying for our staff members to receive training and skills that they can take with them when they inevitably leave for greater things.

I'm not too sure how feasible it'd be for us to be providing training to staff members in the way that you suggest, but it's certainly something worth further discussion about a bit later.

In saying that, if anyone has issues with the quality of treatment you receive from our staff, please create a ticket and we'll definitely look into it more. Providing the best service to our users is very important to everyone in our team.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
