We're excited to introduce our new and improved DMCA system, designed to protect creators while addressing challenges of copyright claims in a transparent and fair way!
At first glance, a DMCA process might seem as straightforward as filling out a form to report content. But in reality, this new system is one of the largest and most complex projects we've ever undertaken. We've worked hard to balance fairness for all creators while staying within legal requirements.
One example of this is that rather than immediately taking content down when a report is made, the copyright holder can decide what sort of remediation they would like, including attribution, obtaining a valid license, or deleting the infringing material entirely. This approach ensures disputes are handled thoughtfully and with as little disruption as possible.
