Overwatch xp gain?

I have been playing overwatch with a friend at my house. We have played at least 20 games tonight and went from 20 to 23.

I'm gaining hardly any XP at all.

We think it might be these things causing it.

Both of us taking turns (changing characters constantly)

Leaving games penalty (Haven't left any games though.)

I don't know about you guys but its taking me so long to get through level 19 to where I am now. Is it a bug because my friends are at like level 70-80 and they level us once every 4 or 5 games. And I'm not bad at the game either I almost always

You don't get enough gold medals, play with Lucio and stay around at least 3 teammates and use the sound boost occasionally when needed, you'll get a ton of healing statistics for the game and a couple gold medals. If you're going to be playing a defence character, defend appropriately, get time on the objective and enough objective kills for gold medals and get on the rating board, if you did good, people will rate you, giving more EXP.

Breakdown: Play with your best character, focus on the medals(e.g. time on objective and objective kills) and just do what you do your best. Having fun in general with your friends is just fun in general, too. Just try to have fun with your friend, time will fly and you'll be level 30 in no time.

Nope this problem isn't about gameplay it must be something wrong with my account. I just had a good game and only got 1.3k it was a long game as well.[DOUBLEPOST=1471699622][/DOUBLEPOST]If the problem persists after hitting level 25 I might go to blizzard support. They will do something if they see my stats and then my level.

It is about gameplay, OW levelling is really slow, due to the fact that it is a competitive game. It relies on how you do and not how many eliminations you get. You have to be playing the objective and really getting involved for you to actually get EXP, not just running on the outskirts and killing people.

But the thing is I am a team player. I'm constantly on the obj, my friend said it took him ages to get to level 25 so hopefully it will smooth out afterwards.
