Hi. Quick-ish thread. I'm looking for an experienced Java Developer (and w/ Spigot API) whom is willing to lend out their skills (for money if requested) to build on an existing plugin framework to create a Redis and MySQL manager. As well as this, add support to additional classes (like HelpOP management and player data) - tl;dr
Detailed description
This plugin will be an add-on to a core plugin which will run on effectively a regular spigot jar. Since it will be an add-on, it will need to be made under the existing environment, but we can speak about that later, as well as the classes being well annotated.
We would also need a new player manager which should use Redis and MySQL effectively for caching, saving, and getting player data (by working together)
Other things that would need to be cached is:
- (In the future) game data
- Player data ( as noted above)
And other stuff that may come under the list. But it should be a flexible framework. It also needs to work to have data be able to be communicated through pubsub channels,
Data would include:
- HelpOPs
- Staff chat
That is all for now.
I would say the estimate time-span for this project is under a week, as it isn't particularly a big job. And I will leave it to you to suggest a price, but to first establish any questions you may have.
Preferred redis wrapper to use: Lettuce-core (https://github.com/lettuce-io/lettuce-core)
Forgive me if this thread is all over the place. I will be happy to answer questions below.
Budget: <80 USD.
If I am a developer, why am I not doing this myself? 1) I've got enough to do 2) I don't understand Redis (despite my attempted research) and would like a contextual example to learn from in future
