Information

I'm recruiting a manager for an upcoming server. I do not want to give too many details about this server away, however, I will say that it is a prison style server. I'm looking for a manager, who can not only recruit, train and manage a staff team, but is also friendly, and approachable. I'm looking for someone that I can bounce ideas off of, someone who has extremely high standards and will not settle for anything but the best, and someone who can deal with any issues which may arise when I am not online.

Specifics & Requirements
Although none of these are necessary, I'd prefer if you had some of the following traits and qualities.
  • Experience in a managerial position.
  • Experience using XenForo.
  • A SpigotMC profile.
  • Plugin configuration experience.

The following list is things which I expect you to already have, and you cannot apply without possessing these qualities.
  • A Discord account.
  • A Google account (with access to google drive).
  • That you are fluent in English.
  • That you understand how to make your accounts secure, and that you use 2FA everywhere possible.
In the management role, you'll be my right hand man/woman. I'll expect you to run the staff team (with a little help if needed). I'll also require you to help me with other things, such as updates, releases, and general administration.

Pay
Now, onto the bit that you all wanted to read. Yes, this is a paid position. Payment will be discussed on a 1-1 basis. I will either decide this before making a final decision or after making a final decision upon who will be accepted for the role. You will be paid a percentage of the donation profit from the server store after main expenses (like hosting) have been paid. For example, if we receive £100, and the total main expenses cost is £20, you will get a percentage of the remaining amount (£80). This will be paid on the first of every month, from the previous month's intake. To make this clear, if I am unavailable on the first of the month, or a few days after this, it will be paid at the earliest possible point. However, I will personally make sure that you always receive the payment. Bonuses may be included in the payment.

I am only accepting applications completed through this google form. This allows me to analyse each candidate, and compare against others quickly and effectively, without having to swap between PM's and other forms of applications. In this form, you can upload your resume, so please upload it through this instead of sending it to me. Google form link: https://goo.gl/forms/IzPL7XVZYj69gOGE2

If you have any questions, please contact me through PM on here, or add me on Discord.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I have everything besides an Spigot profile, is that fine?
Yeah, a Spigot profile isn't required. It's just something good to have. I won't make any decision upon having or not having a Spigot profile.

I’ve worked with Tom before and he always goes through with his promises.
Thank you. <3

Would you provide some sort of down payment? A % is unreliable to professional managers.
I understand it is unreliable, however, I cannot provide any form of set payment a month, because if the server doesn't make that, or cover it, I have no other way to pay it. I know this will put off some people from applying, but it is the only realistic option which I can do.

That's not what I meant; a down payment is a payment before doing work. So like $20 upfront, I start work, then start earning the percentages.

To be honest I'd work for free, I don't know why people want paid for something they do when they could do it out of the kindness of their heart.
For some people being a manager is a job for them, and they live off of what they make. I just believe that offering a percentage for the work is done (as it is a lot of work, and is hard work) is better than nothing.

Oh right okay, apologies for the confusion. I still will not be doing this though. I won't be offering any down payment.

TBH offering a % is one of the worst things you can do. If I were you I would offer a minimum (50-150 per month) and if you feel you could raise it to a higher amount.

I don't mean to trash at all, just saying my POV.

Thank you for your opinion. I understand your concern, however, this is the only form of payment which I am able to provide as of right now. This may change in the future, and it may become a set amount for the person hired.
