As you can see, I am NOT a web designer and our website looks like trash. I am paying TOP DOLLAR for a complete overhaul of our website. Anything goes.

I have several designs and working demos of in-progress layouts including PHPBB integration, shop layout, etc. which will be shared with the person I hire.

The do-not list:

• I do NOT want a one-page website that scrolls vertically for everything.
• I do NOT want something built with CMS like Wordpress/enjin.
• I do NOT want frilly eye-bleeding graphics, sparkles, animations, and other fluff.
• I do NOT want a website template that's just a collection of stock photos.
• I do NOT want a slab of Photoshop art that is not a real website

Minimum:

• You must speak English fluently and plan to talk with me over Skype.
• The website should will and function on a variety of devices/platforms and not just on a PC.
• The website design will support blog-style news feed which is to be linked with PHPBB.
• The website design will support the layout of a custom shopping cart and associated pages (checkout, etc.).
• The website design will include all fonts used in the design.
• The website design will have a pretty logo and font whatever to impress.

Pages/Menu:

• Home (landing page + blog/news)
• Server (needs at least one template that will work for all sub-pages)
  • Some Vanilla Survival page..
  • Some PVP page..
  • Some Towny page..
  • Some Skyblock page..
• Shop
  • (very simple) Shopping CART design. Contact to hash out details
  • Account dialogs, account management page, purchase history
• Vote
  • Links to voting pages with timer showing when you can vote next (24h)
• Forums
  • I will integrate PHPBB but the design has to look good with one embedded. May ask for assistance with theme (colors, little graphics).
• About
• Rules
  • Basic rules page
  • Blurb about us and some picture heavy content for showcase
• How To Join (can be a single scrolling page layout but must have shortcut links)
  • Picture-guided tour on how to purchase MC, download, run, connect, etc.
• Contact
  • Simple web form for submitting an e-mail (does not have to function) as well as highlighting actual e-mail if the user wants to send one with their own client.

I am a programmer with many years of experience but I am absolutely not a web designer. I've worked with HTML/CSS in the past and can read and write web code. I just can't design stuff or layout a nice page for the life of me.

I will WORK WITH YOU on the implementation! My minimum spec requires talking to a database for content for the news and shop; server-side programming and database stuff is NOT part of the requirements. What I want is a skilled designer to work closely with me on getting a solid template which I can take and take and turn into a complete website.

If you are applying to fill the position please include at a minimum a response to the following question: "Why do you think you're the right person for this job?"

Please do not apply if you do not have examples of past work. I won't hire you to design something for me on words alone.

No. The trash you see is something I wrote for when we were just a single vanilla server. We're now a collection of servers with several game modes and features. The current website does not reflect the requirements.

I write most of our server's plugins (30+) and we've been around for over four years now. Trying to get a good website and shop setup for better feature integration with voting and donations.

I don't know where people normally go for this. Most design "services" are CMS-oriented or are just fronts for web templates. Currently, I do not have a portfolio; due to my website being under construction and having clients under my belt it's hard to get around to do these kind of things.

My prices are not fixed, but more flexible to my clients needs. I range my prices around the clients budget, that's is if it reasonable for both the client and I.

A couple of days ago this works was done for DiabloTurtle, www.luxstudiosmc.com/portfolio.php This shows a simplistic and modern layout for the team "Lux Studios". This page costed $40 USD total. Note: I re-made this, after Electro did not fulfil the layout and design in with they needed.

All work, is completely hand made; no hidden errors or faults in my code.

My procedure is as follows:

PAYMENTS:

JoshD.co accepts payments via Cash, Check, PayPal and all major Credit Cards. Your payment should come from PayPal available funds or credit card. Your project will not be released to you or uploaded until full payment is received.
- I require a down payment, to hold your space in the queue of clients; this only ranges between $5-20 at most depending on my time frame and client load.

- The client - you, will send either half, or the full amount depending on the options below.

Option 1:
- Half
The user will pay half, the website's code will be hosted on my website @ joshd.co/projectname.
Here, the user will have a live feed of the code with auto updates of changes within the system and code.
The client, will not have access to these files; but will have an option to have them during process in the next option.

The 50% deposit is only refundable if we have not fulfilled our obligations to deliver the work required under the agreement. The deposit is not refundable if the development work has been started and you terminate the contract through no fault of ours.

Option 2:
- Full
The user will pay full, the website's cost will be hosted on your hosting panel - the cost of hosting will be covered by me.
Here, the user will have a live feed of the code with auto updates of changed within the system and code.
The client, will have access to these files.

Terms and Conditions:

These are the standard terms and conditions for Website Design and Development and apply to all contracts and all work undertaken by JoshD.co for its clients.

- All payments must be made with either F&F or BTC; BTC is discounted;
- Chargebacks will be taken seriously, and taken to legal action depending on the situation.
- If at any time the client cancels the order during the process I am eligible to either hold, or send back the money.
- I may ask for legal information such as ID for legal purposes and proof.
- You must supply all materials and information required by us to complete the work in accordance with any agreed specification. Such materials may include, but are not limited to, photographs, written copy, logos and other printed material.
- Once you have paid us in full for our work we grant to you a license to use the website and its related software and contents for the life of the website.
- We will supply to you account credentials for domain name registration and/or web hosting that we purchased on your behalf when you reimburse us for any expenses that we have incurred.
- You are responsible for complying with all relevant laws relating to e-commerce, and to the full extent permitted by law will hold harmless, protect, and defend and indemnify JoshD.co and its subcontractors from any claim, penalty, tax, tariff loss or damage arising from your or your clients’ use of Internet electronic commerce.
- Refunds will be processed within 30 business days of request by the client, if there is a refund amount due based on the terms above.

btw, I haven't talked much to Elcro about that site, however it looks rather similar to his version (from what I remember). I took your statement as saying you redid the site for the client, however it looks more like you took his existing code and added/changed a few things, especially considering you didn't remove his branding, it seems like it was only kept there because the majority of the site is still his work. Correct me if I'm wrong, just looks that way to me.

I'm highly proficient in multiple languages, for example, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and SQL. However, I have other things I could work on, I'm not sure what your definition of "top dollar" is, but if you have a serious budget, $750+, we can work this out.

Hello!

Currently, I am working towards creating the website for an already established jewelry corporation. This includes SQL, PHP, HTML5, CSS, and JS. I can very easily do the e-commerce portion for you (Credit Card and PayPal). The transaction processor would be Braintree Payments (a PayPal company). Also, I can set up a mailing service for you. Once a transaction is made, a confirmation email will be sent out to both the seller and buyer.
