From personal experience, they closed my account because I made the account before I turned 18. It doesn't matter how old you are now, but I had the same issue as you. I registered with fake name, fake address, etc, and want to change it since I used paypal daily for many years. But after contacting them about it, even called them, they closed my account and blacklisted my credit card...
So now I can't even use my real info, so I use fake info with a Mastercard linked for it to work, even had to change my IP and remove my browser cookies...
It's not worth the effort man.
