No they are not brain dead. To people BTC has more value since it's harder to get (well that's what I think) and most kids on here can't purchase Bitcoin since they don't have a bank account. Along with PayPal fees, chargebacks, once somebody sends you the Bitcoin there is NO way for them to get it back if you chargeback.
