I'm having an issue with my paypal which basically makes me not able to use it (sometimes)
It asks me to add a number to my account to verify it's me, but I tried to add a phone but it doesn't allow me since my phone isn't registered in my name.
Is there any way I can get a phone number registered in my name online?

Send a support email or call paypal and ask about the issue. I'd be much more easier to figure out the problem.

The phone holder's name doesn't have to be the same as the PayPal account holder's name.

It does to be able to receive a code and verify it's you

I'm pretty sure paypal firstly asks to put in your credit card details to verify that it's you, not by a phone number.

I have no clue why so many people are having issues with PayPal.

I got it since I was 13. (currently 17) had no issues. Took it a step further and added my credit and debit cards. And it's just working fine. If adding a simple phone number is not working. Try adding your parents and change it over time. Otherwise it's something with your phone service or Something.
The phone has to be registed in your name for you to be able to confirm yourself when paying for something.

Same here. No problem with paypal. Only problem lately is the limit. Can't prove my identity, because of my age(Also 17 currently) ._.

Hmm, never knew that. You learn something new everyday. Try contacting your phone provider. Might be Thinking it's invalid.
The phone wasn't registered in my name, it was registered in my dads.
I was able to change caller ID to my name so hopefully I can see if that works

I don't really think its about who is the holder of the phone. Think for example for prepay phone users. The holder of it is none, it can't be found.

You have to have your country phone id at the start, then miss the first digit of your phone number.

i.e. U.K country phone ID is 44.
If you have a phone number starting in 07.....

You'd enter 447.... (You miss off the 0)
