I think that on selling threads PayPal should be the implied payment method unless otherwise mentioned.
Example: If someone is selling an account and it has no payment method listed, and someone asks if they can pay with csgo skins, then the person who asked to pay with skins would get warning points and the post removed. It's very spammy to see all these people ask to pay with csgo skins in particular, and this should be fixed.

I got my inspiration for this suggestion from Swivels

Nice suggestion imo. No warning however.

I can see why you want this added. But it would be a very stupid rule imo to get warning points if you ask about other payment methods.

Neutral on this one Kappa
It's mainly because some people ask it on EVERY thread in the accounts section, and I've even seen one person ask it twice on the same thread. It's super annoying considering most people do NOT want to accept CSGO skins that are worthless to us. If someone wants to pay with CSGO skins then they can either PM the person, or have them converted to paypal in the steam items section.

I'd say this is pretty pointless. It takes 1/2 second to scroll past the post and 5 seconds to reply "No."

And then you have 2 more completely off topic posts on your thread, and people will have to search even harder for the current bid. A great example would be your post just then and my reply.

You can't default a payment method. This is the most stupid idea I've ever seen.i lied

Maybe make a suggestion, instead, saying you must state the payment method(s) you will accept. Because that makes sense, should get accepted and shows you used your brain.

Well, good job on hitting the right bush, but you picked the wrong leaf.

It is already known that most people on here accept PayPal. If they only take bitcoin, or only take csgo skins, then they can say that on their thread. I think you very well can set a default payment method, what most of the people use.

Stop justifying your flawed logic and just change your suggestion to requirement to state your payment methods. Because this, as it is, will never get accepted.

I think the OP should just 20 seconds out of their day to list the payment methods they except, if someone still asks for something else it should be removed since they clearly can't read.
Even if they add it into the sales format or something, it's just easier.

Yeah, that would work too. If there were checkboxes of payment options accepted in the form that'd be just as good. My suggestion was mainly if the people don't want to list that they accept csgo skins or bitcoin etc, that it defaults to paypal. That's why I don't understand why I have a single disagree...

People always comment something like "Trade for CSGO skins?" its obviously really annoying since not everyone plays the shitty game. Seb1 Kapap

This is only a minor suggestion. If people want to offer alternative payment methods, they should be allowed to. If you do not wish it, state so clearly in your thread. No need to go making rules for every little thing. This is not something that damages the community, it's merely an inconvenience. And one easily resolved at that.

The only thing I'd agree there to be a rule for is asking for other options if the thread already says paypal only. It should be a rule that allows the deleting of posts, and maybe minor warnings at repeat offense. That is all.

Both posts that were made wouldn't be off-topic as it informs everyone who may have had the intention to pay with let's say CSGO skins that they aren't accepted.

This is just a pointless rule. You don't really need to look at the replies, just the OP's "reply" and your own.
