So around 6 months ago my PayPal account with over $6K in it was permanently banned. They said they would release the funds after 180 days, which it has been. However they have not. PayPal with its shitty support is hard to get to, so realistically im having difficulties getting in touch with someone about this.

Anyone got any advice on this?

To also add to the above, are you able to send the money to a new PayPal account or will I have to withdraw it to my bank? I know PayPal says to withdraw it but id prefer having it sent to someone else.

ring the automated support system confuse it a bit it'll crash and auto-send you to a representative.

Already did that, they told me to email the appeals department which no one ever gets a reply from.

Overall just don't use PayPal, only use it as an intermediary. Withdraw the money to your bank the second you get it as PayPal balance.

Switched to fully using BTC and people transferring PayPal to BTC to me now.[DOUBLEPOST=1601064758][/DOUBLEPOST]
Yeah PayPal is known for being a shitty company (tip 1: never hold funds for a long time on PayPal), they have a 1.2 star on trustpilot -.-

Anyways, you cannot transfer the money in your PayPal to a new one, at least in The Netherlands. You have to withdraw it to a bank account.

Just keep on sending them a message, they will eventually have to reply.. I hope
Yeah I dont ever plan to store funds in PayPal anymore.

Lawyering up and playing hard ball with PayPal is just going to make the process longer than it needs to be. You should automatically have the option to withdraw to a bank account or request a check. Do you not have these options already?
Nope that is why this thread was created and the reason ive been contacting PayPal endlessly for the past few days

I still wouldn’t suggest that. A bank is always the safest and best option.

I've been around with paypal and their limitations for a while, after 180 just send them a message from the message centre inside your account and they'll get back to you within a few business days, then you're good.

Sometimes you need to wait about 190 days etc etc, but it'll be fine in the end, also you can only withdraw to a bank account unless they let you otherwise.

That's odd. Usually they'd want to get you off their platform. Are you sure that's all there is to do with your account? Why was the account limited? Also, why did you have such a large amount in PayPal at once? I'm not asking to be nosey, I'm asking to understand more...something doesn't seem right here.[DOUBLEPOST=1601091488][/DOUBLEPOST]

To answer this question, it depends on the agent you get. Some agents will do a final transfer to someone else, but this is highly unlikely.
The account was permanently limited for violating the acceptable use policy. PayPal being PayPal wouldnt go into detail about it and I dont actually know the reason myself. All I know is that im permanently banned from using PayPal. As of right all agents I have encountered all end having me email the appeals department.

EDIT: I usually keep my money in PayPal as the bank I used on the account does fee me for withdrawals.

Yeah at this point I think its a matter of waiting for PayPal to just release the funds.[DOUBLEPOST=1601113214][/DOUBLEPOST]I have been reading up and in certain scenarios PayPal has to keep the funds under investigation longer then the 180 days if they suspect fraud. But I haven’t dont any fraudulent activities on my account that I know of.

When I had this issue a few months ago with a friends account, it allowed us to link a bank account to the account and just withdraw the funds. You do it the same way as if your account wasn't limited.

(Idk if this is any help but still)

They wont let me withdraw thats the issue, nor have I received the email saying, your funds are released yet. Kappa
