Heeya!
I've read about paypal and its use, but i'm not quite an expert at it.
So if you have any tips on how I can keep my account clean, like not get limited or locked, let me know.
Anything, from daily transactions number, to amount handled per day / per week. Withdrawals and anything.
Really appreciate you guys, thanks a lot!

Well, since your profile states that you're 19, you should be pretty safe. Just verify your account with your age, SSN, address, ID, and add a bank account, and debit and or credit card. I mean, you're over 18 so you are able to, and should, have a bank account and type of card at this age. Getting a head-start on life and all.

If you lied about your age on here and are under 18, then verify your PayPal account with ONLY your address. Do not add your age, or verify with SSN or ID (obviously). Most banks will allow minors (under 18 to open bank accounts and obtain debit cards with parent co-sign, so do that because adding a bank account and card to your account will lift many withdrawal and deposit limits. Minors under 18 can also be added as an Authorized User to a parent's credit card. THIS IS USEFUL. Not only for adding a card to PayPal to verify, but also to start building credit at an age younger than 18.

In terms of monthly spending/earning/trans amt, etc. PayPal doesn't give two shits as long as they are making money. Accept payments in Goods and Services not Friends and Family, unless you are receiving money from a Friend (not for a service or good), or from a family member. Anything else, USE G&S. If you are not scamming, or doing anything shady, you will win ANY dispute. Accepting many large F&F payments is a good way to get your account flagged. When accepting in G&S, PayPal earns a fee from the transaction, as you probably know.

New accounts will have a 21 day hold on incoming G&S payments if they are unverified. 21 days can be reduced to 7 after proof of delivery or shipping is provided. If you are over 18 and can get it fully verified, this 21 day hold will be lifted. If you are under 18 and can not verify your account, you will have to wait 60 days with your account in good standing to lift the G&S hold. If you need the holds removed sooner, you can wait 30 days and call to request a manual review of your account, after which the hold can be removed if you spent 30 days in good standing. If you have a previous PayPal or PayPal Business account, you can waive the 30-60 new account period by calling and providing proof of the same business running the account. For any wait times 30-60 days, you will have to make and receive transactions to keep your account in good standing. Simply not using it is not enough.

If you have any issues with your account, with a dispute or limiting, etc. CALL, rather than email. Calling and speaking with a rep. will 90% end up with a better solution for you, and faster too. Calling will also allow for reps to add notes to your account that can prove your good relationship with PayPal, and make them more likely to side with you on issues in the future.

Do not keep too much money in your balance at one time, withdrawing to a bank account or card is a great feature, do it often.

If you have the option to, obtain credit lines through PayPal. PayPal Credit and PayPal Mastercard Credit are great ways to earn cash back if you spend, and raise your credit if you use them responsibly.

Be careful when accepting large amounts of G&S payments though. LOOK UP your state & federal Tax laws to learn at what point of earnings you'll need to start declaring income. I doubt many users on MCM even need to be concerned with this, but if you are making "livable" wages through PayPal, you'll want to record those payments for when tax season comes around.

I have been using PayPal since 2014, only my last 2.5 years of use have been legal. (adult). I have had 50+ disputes, with 95% ending in my favor.

Currently use my PayPal account as a Business account with a Business Mastercard, two lines of credit with PayPal, and because of my good account standing, I now have Funds Now, meaning that my money never gets held, even in the case of a dispute. I no longer have to pay a $20 out of PayPal Bank Chargeback fee, and I have priority phone support.

^^^Just to show, that when you play it right, PayPal is an EXTREMELY valuable asset, and not one to be taken lightly.

Too many people on this Forum and I assume in life in general use this platform as an easy way to transfer money, which it is, but you have to be smart. PayPal is great, and when you hear people complaining about it, they just don't know what they're doing.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you out.

Deleted User 60850 Theo J Thank you so much for this information, it's so understandable. Yeah I have a whole different opinion about paypal now. I'm all legal, I have credit card linked to my account also bank account, I'm waiting now for them to confirm my data I introduced. My main concerns were about getting my account flagged or blocked and what are the things I should not do, but you made it pretty clear for me so thank you so much! I hope this thread will be useful for the rest of the mcmarket members!
