PayPal money not useable?

Hello, recently I received a payment for a service I have done and the transaction has gone through no problem. It says the money is available in my account via my PayPal balance. Whenever I try to purchase using my PayPal balance I get a message saying "Please return to merchant and try using a different payment method" when I try to send the money it says "We have run into a problem" but it doesn't tell me what the problem is considering I have the money in my account. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how could I fix this?

You guys seem to get problems all the time, yet every problem I've had was easy to fix. All I had to do was call them about it and they'll fix it. Their automated systems do sometimes bug out, just call them and explain whats wrong.

lol some times it does this for me most times because ur paypal is new just wait and try again later

You guys seem to get problems all the time, yet every problem I've had was easy to fix. All I had to do was call them about it and they'll fix it. Their automated systems do sometimes bug out, just call them and explain whats wrong.
Yeah I understand that, I just find it unprofessional and unreliable in a way considering this is a major online money handling system and they have these bugs as simple as sending money from a balance. Normally I don't have any issues using PayPal, but personally I wouldn't trust them with things like my bank account because of these simple bugs. You say every problem you've had has been fixed but a website this big, handling this much money really shouldn't have problems that need fixing in my opinion :p Thanks for the feedback though, I'll contact them.

Basically, if you're not fully verified, you don't get to complain.
Not trusting them with your bank account because of small automated system bugs is foolish, to be honest. Paypal is more secure than some bank's websites, and it's in their best interest to insure that your data and money are safe, even if there's random bugs sometimes.

I've also got a newsflash for you. A website this big isn't immune to bugs. Nothing is immune to bugs. If you think a big site is immune to bugs, you have a LOT to learn. I mean, look at youtube. It's a giant site, and full of stupid bugs.
The thing to judge a big online company by is the time between you notifying them of a bug and them fixing it.
If it's less than 3 days, they're great. If it's less than a week, they're good. if it's multiple weeks, they're bad. If it's longer, they're stupid.

Paypal is one of the most secured companies what are you talking about?
