Paypal Payments

Lets get straight into my question

I'm under the age of 18 and I currently do have a paypal account which I run a small business on. However I'm currently developing a project of mine, a mc server and of course most likely will receive a higher influx of payments . I know buycraft only allow for you to accept payments with business/premiere paypal accounts, but as I'm under the age of 18 I believe I'm unable to create one. Before you ask, I legally own a bank account. Could anyone suggest a solution to this, possibly a way to accept/give large sums of payments for my upcoming server. I sound dumb

When I converted to a premier account 2 years ago, I'm pretty sure I didn't need to verify anything. They might've changed it now though.

If I were you, I would be careful with owning a PayPal account under 18. I recently got this message:

and I had to send in ID. As I am 17 (18 on 6th July) they limited my account. They have allowed to me open a new account when I get to the required age, but I would just be careful.

Be very careful; your paypal account can get limited any second, and you won't be able to withdraw or spend your money unless you provide valid legal evidence, that you are higher than the age of 18 as well as your address verification, they will ask for your ID and bills.

Yeah, it's a bit dodgy from what I have heard, this is my story though;

I created a PayPal when I was about 14 (Roughly) I used it for a lot of income, either from MC or my design work it got limited when I was about 17 however I was able to use it still I just had that "You have earned more than... blah blah..." message come up upon login.

I ignored it because I had about 150 days (ish) until they were going to take action, so I never bothered. When I turned 18 I thought I would then confirm i'm over 18 however because I claimed to be over 18yrs 4 years prior for obvious reasons they didn't confirm the account. However since I was then the age of 18 they said you can make a new account and we can transfer the funds over, since I heard about people loosing £1000's to limitation I didn't argue. Basically all went well, I got the money and am currently still using that PayPal. I suppose maybe they were kinda because I had 0 chargebacks and overall had 100's of transactions. Maybe if I had more they would of been less kind? Who knows.

Kind in mind this was almost 3 years ago, as i'm now going on 21.


EDIT: I called them to speak about this, for some reason I never have trouble when calling PayPal it's just when I email them they start trouble.

If everything you're doing is above board and legal ask your parents if you can put it in either of their names

Hearing mix responses, I have a bank account linked to my parents, I still have full control but it's linked to my parents. If I were to link my bank account to my PayPal would PayPal see that the age of the card holder (myself) is under the legal age of 18, and freeze/suspend my PayPal account. Also how would chargebacks work, as almost every server gets a shit ton of charge backs on the daily, wouldn't PayPal freeze my account and ask for proof of age, which of course I don't have since I'm not 18[DOUBLEPOST=1497521374][/DOUBLEPOST]

They were really calm about everything, the woman who helped me was so chilled and we had a laugh about how I was such a little brat when I was 14. Basically be super chilled and all will be good.
