I just opened a bank account and got a card. I was wondering if it's a good idea for me to attach my bank account to my Paypal that's lying about my age. I'm only 14, so I can't open a Paypal.

How tf do you have a bank account when your 14? I tried the same thing, but decided it could get you in a lot of trouble, if paypal sees that your lying about your age and you have a bank account, they can file charges.

They rarely ever do though. btw I've had a bank account for years. Made a paypal account when I was 15. didnt catch me until just last month when I had to add my passport to lift my receiving limit.

PayPal can barly resolve a chargeback in a reasonable amout of time, let alone press charges on someone. It would cost them more to do so, then they would likely gain. All they really do is limit your account.

How do people even get bank accounts before 18? Your parents help you?

You can get childs account. 14+ i belive in the UK. The only thing you cant have is an overdraft.

No, banks have accounts for younger peeps. and yes, parents too sometimes.

Yes it is fine, they can't check your age that way, I talked to a representative of Paypal's and asked about it before. They go by the age you put when the PayPal was created unless you add your social security number, in which case their system double checks and if there is a mismatch, your account gets flagged. But anyway, adding your bank account and debit card are 100% safe and ok to do.

They would go after the parents if they are a minor, and it doesn't mean they will sue them.
