PayPal question

So basically I have just received an email saying
“Because you receive payment for goods or services through PayPal, we need to confirm your taxpayer status. This verification is required to comply with US. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as well as State tax reporting requirements.

If your taxpayer status isn't confirmed, your PayPal account will be limited, and you won’t be able to request or receive money.”

But the thing is that my account is not registered in the US, so does anyone knows what happens when I select that account holder is not a U.S entity, U.S citizen, etc and submit it that way?

I am from the UK, so when I was given the same message I just selected that I am not in the US and it just ended the situation right there.

exactly what txt said. Just say you are not a US citizen and it will end it so you can continue selling/buying!

Thanks for the information, I just filled out the information and selected the same option and the warning has disappeared.

It was all legit, had notification on the actual PayPal website as well, it’s all good now though.
