Ok guys,
So basically I got grounded, long story, and my parents took my PC. I'm currently on a shitty mac laptop which is so incredibly slow, so I'm getting kinda desperate. I've gotten to the point of where I'm thinking about taking the parts out of my PC and just leaving them with the case :whistle:...

I want to know if you guys think this is worth it or not. I'd have to hide it behind my desk, so even getting a cheap case isn't really an option. This PC is my BABY, but at the same time I wanna use it so bad, I can't stand this mac. I could get a test bench or something really small, but still that's hard to fit anywhere.

If I do this, I'm going to be putting the PC in a drawer, but I need to work out a lock system, where I can just leave the drawer locked, and occasionally unlock it. This system preferably would be simple and DIY, but all suggestions are helpful if you have any ideas.

Also, waiting is an option, but I won't be getting this back for a long time (next summer), so not the ideal option.

I know this is a very "kiddy" situation, but I need help on this one guys.

Thanks <3

PC's are fine without the case, that's not a problem. The tricky thing is cooling, a draw is quite a contained space so air circulation might be a problem.

show me your desk

That's my desk.

Behind the desk, currently occupied by my PS4 and xbox (which my parents don't know about... whoops)

And finally the drawer that it would go in. I'd need to lock it so that they don't end up opening it one day and seeing it in there, and the drawer would be empty, of course, if I put the PC in there.

Any kind of makeshift on/off button I could make? I know you can turn the PC on with the pins on the motherboard, but having to do that every time would start to become a bit of a pain... As for ventilation, I could open the drawer whenever I'm using the PC? I have a cpu fan and my GPU has two fans built in. I could also take the fans out of my old case and just stick them in the drawer? The only problem then would be where the fans would draw the air. The back of the drawer has a small opening so I could try to stick the fan to that spot there?

Thanks.[DOUBLEPOST=1479090668][/DOUBLEPOST]

OMG the cringe just wait until your un grounded so you don't get it taken away again for a longer time.

Wouldn't it be easier to convince your parents to return your PC to you?

Obviously you'd reply to my comment with "They won't", but there has to be a way if we all just think hard enough.

Could get something like this for the power button, that way you could position it anywhere: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CF-20-5-L...925753?hash=item4ae8b796f9:g:GnMAAOSwcwhVNVkK

Draw open would help with cooling, so would adding fans to the draw, however lowing your video settings in games will help too, since your components wouldn't be under as much workload.

I know I've practically tried everything and I tried getting my grades up and everything, but as soon as I got it back, they said my grades went down because of it. At the time, I was only allowed to use it on the weekends, so I don't see how it should have any effect on my school work.
