Hello,

I'm looking for a new pc as my current AIO pc is shit.
My dad and I were thinking about this one https://www.pccasegear.com/bundle/55 ( AUD )

Looking for a computer that will last A LONG TIME that will be godly and stay godly. This will be used for many years and used every day.

Games i'll be playing:
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Fortnite
Csgo
Battlefield
Blackops
any other high intensive game

You may say "you won't need a computer this good bla bla for those games" for those games which I know, but this is going to be an investment for my future.

If you could drop a links to some australian pc building sites, where they will also build it for you.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Stick a 120GB SSD in there as your boot drive and store your games on the 2TB Barracude, the OS will feel so much smoother on an SSD, and it only costs like 30 for one

I'm confused on what you mean? I've never seen an SSD for $30

It all depends on what you’re looking for.

Generally the build is very solid and should be able to last long.
However, as an example taking a GPU like the RTX 2080 TI might be an overkill in your case.
Even a 2070 would run these games perfectly well, would be much cheaper and would still last long.

So technically imagine something like that -
Spending 3.5k$ for a RTX 2080 TI rig that would last 6 years (random number)
Spending 2.5k$ for a RTX 2070 rig that would last for 5 years (again, random, though check the difference in price and in years).

What I’m trying to say is that according to Moore’s law, every around 2 years there will be a better CPU/GPU for the same price. You may want to consider taking a “worse” rig that will last almost as long as the better rig and when time comes, upgrade / buy new PC. (Which you would still need to do probably a year or two if you get the much more expensive rig)

You can get a 120GB SSD from your local Best Buy for $20 and a 240GB SSD for $30-35 on Amazon.

You want 240GB minimum. I bought a 120gb and it fits only a few games. Shit’s not gonna fit a COD game and Tomb raider on it

Moore’s law, every around 2 years there will be a better CPU/GPU

This is not correct. Moores law is that the number of transistors in a CPU will double each year - which has not been true for a long time.

You're right that this applies to CPUs, yet the concept is technically similar.
On top of that, it is indeed still true. Might not be as accurate as it once was, but you can definitely still see the slope.

That's why I said for an OS disk - store the Hard Drives on the 2TB HDD that's in there
