so I just ordered a second 960 to run sli. I plugged it in. I didn’t realize I had the CPU cable plugged in and bam it lit on fire. It lucky did no mother board damage. I order another 6 pin adapater do you think it is fine for me to use it again

haha i almost did the same mistake yesterday, if i think I know what your saying. I had my CPU plugged in and running, and almost put my GPU in the riser with it running. Just make sure everything is off, and your fine.
Ah that makes sense my PC was on I plugged it in fans started spinning plug power in and the bottom was on fire[DOUBLEPOST=1514999376][/DOUBLEPOST]

It should be fine. If it lights on fire again then pour a pound of thermal paste on it.

Yea I highly suggest not working on your pc when its on, or even plugged in. You could risk shock or even a fire (like what happend).
